10th Learning Analytics and Knowledge (LAK) Conference
23.03.2020 to 27.03.2020
The "International Conference on Learning Analytics & Knowledge" (LAK20) is taking place for the first time in Germany: at the Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main.
Learning Analytics describes the technology-supported measurement and evaluation of data from learning processes in order to support and optimize learning. It has already been shown, particularly internationally, that this technology from the field of digital education can have a significant impact on the education system. At the LAK, the current state of knowledge from worldwide scientific work on the associated issues will be presented. In addition to research, the conference is aimed at interested parties from practice, politics, business and administration in order to intensify the dialogue on needs and perspectives.
The theme of the tenth edition of this conference is "Shaping the future of the field". The focus is on possible lines of development for the next ten years and beyond. The main focus will be on how learning and teaching can be measured in the best possible way, what insights can be gained from this, how they can be used to improve learning and teaching, and what needs to be taken into account for different areas of application and sizes of Learning Analytics.
The conference is an event of the globally networked Society for Learning Analytics Research (SoLAR). The LAK20 in Frankfurt is organized by the DIPF | Leibniz Institute for Educational Research and Educational Information, the Goethe University Frankfurt and the TU Darmstadt. The event language is English.
